We have an investigator named Guilhereme and he is 28 years old! We have been teaching him for a little while now and he has been reading the book of mormon! He has some problems with smoking and we are trying to help him set goals to eventually stop! He has the desire to stop but it is hard! The other day he only smoked one cigar and we were so happy! He came to church with us this past Sunday and he stayed the whole time! He also came and watched a session of General Conference! He is really progressing and I hope he will be baptized in the near future! Sister Silva and I have high hopes!!!
A mission is difficult and unlike anything I have ever done before! I have had to learn patience with myself! I know how to have patience with other people-- I am really good at that, but having patience with myself is very hard! I have been very humbled by the experiences I have had here so far and I have only been here for a little amount of time! This next week I get to go to the temple here in Curitiba and I am so excited!! This will be the first time in the field going to the temple! I feel so much peace in the temple! I love my area! The ward is amazing and they do an amazing job of working with the missionaries! Lots of wards here don’t help the missionaries out but my mission president has really stressed the importance of working with the missionaries! I hope you all had the opportunity to watch conference this weekend! I hope all your questions were answered!
I found out how to send photos!!! Here are some photos I will take more and send more!
I have gotten so many mesquito bites my legs are sooo red! I dont know if you can tell! Also really funny thing: I have never noticed how white I actually am!! Sister Silva everyday says "ahhhh minha bebe branco!!!" which means "awwww my white baby!!!" I love when she says that.... not, but it is really funny!
Thanks for all your support. I will send more pictures next week!!
